Jazz vocalist, pianist and composer headlines Coe Marquis Series

The Coe College Marquis Series will feature internationally known jazz vocalist, pianist and composer, Sarah McKenzie at 7 PM March 6 in Sinclair Auditorium on the Coe campus.
Originally from Australia, McKenzie now resides in the U.S. and tours internationally, performing throughout the U.S., Europe, Brazil, Korea and Japan.
McKenzie is known for her brilliance interpreting 20th century jazz standards for the 21st century. Her global following multiplied with the success of her 2017 disc “Paris in the Rain.'' McKenzie will perform her new disc “Secrets of My Heart” (Normandy Lane) for the audience of Coe College and the surrounding community.
Tickets are $15 for the general public and $10 for non-Coe students 18 and younger and seniors 55 and older. Visit www.coe.edu/box-office to purchase tickets. There is no charge for Coe College students, faculty and staff.
The Marquis Series is funded by a gift from the estate of Sarah Marquis in honor of her father, Dr. John A. Marquis, who was president of Coe College from 1909-1920. The purpose of the series is to bring entertainment and educational presentations to the Coe campus for the benefit of the entire community.
