Coe College remains nationally ranked for Most Accessible Professors and Best Career Services

The Princeton Review Rankings Fall 2024Coe College continues to earn national accolades for accessible professors and career services. The Princeton Review released updated 2025 rankings Tuesday and Coe remains the only college or university in Iowa to land on the publication’s Best Career Services (No. 8 nationally) and Most Accessible Professors (No. 22 nationally) lists.

In addition, Coe is recommended as one of the “Best 390 Colleges and Universities,” as well as earning a spot on the “Best Colleges: Midwest” list and inclusion in the “Guide to Green Colleges.”

This is the third consecutive year the college has been ranked in the Most Accessible Professors and the Best Career Services categories. Each year, Coe has outpaced state and private colleges and universities in Iowa in these categories, as well as all Ivy League institutions.

“Relationships in education are critical. When you’re in class, chatting during advising hours, sitting down for lunch or talking through an internship opportunity, we are going to get to know you. That’s how we accomplish our core mission of preparing each Kohawk for a meaningful life and fulfilling career — understanding our students,” said Coe College Provost & Dean of the Faculty Angela Ziskowski. “That’s why I’m proud of this ranking, but even prouder of our faculty. The level of care and attention they provide students is unparalleled.”

The link between these two rankings is the individual attention each Coe student receives both in the classroom and outside of the traditional class space.

“Both professors and professional staff go above and beyond to meet with students and provide the best career preparation and connections possible,” added Associate Vice President for Advancement Barb Tupper ’89. “We’re committed to creating real professional situations and networking opportunities so Kohawks can continue to have a leg up. Our unique position in Cedar Rapids and extensive partnerships with area employers allows us to provide these opportunities for our students. I want to thank all our partners. Without the entire community none of this is possible.”

Nearly 100% of reporting Coe graduates find employment, attend graduate school or engage in a service opportunity within nine months of graduation, consistently for more than a decade.

Inclusion in the “Best 390 Colleges” guide puts Coe in the top 15% of the 2,000+ four-year colleges and universities in America that were surveyed. Coe’s placement and subsequent rankings are based on ratings and data collected directly from students. Responses from students lauded Coe’s academics and campus resources, as well as its “wonderful” and “understanding” faculty.
