Ben completed a health and science internship through Coe, shadowing professionals at multiple dental practices in Cedar Rapids. Coe alum and member of the Board of Trustees, David Gehring ’86 connected Ben to these practices and welcomed him into his own! Ben is now a dental practice owner at Horton Family Dental.

A psychology major, Brandon completed four internships at facilities including St. Luke's Hospital, Four Oaks and Common Road to Recovery. He’s now working as an addiction, behavior analysis and behavioral economics researcher at University of Kansas

Brewhemia is a family-owned café located in the NewBo district. At Brewhemia you will find an intimate café featuring amazing coffee, breakfast, lunch and more.

This historic mansion hosts tours and events while being visited by thousands of people each year. A local favorite event is the yearly Balloon Glow held each summer.

Logan completed a health sciences internship at Ability Physical Therapy in Marion, giving her confidence to work with patients and pursue a graduate degree in physical therapy. She now works as a health and wellness coach at Logan Lynch Fitness and Beachbody and a trainer at TITLE Boxing Club.

What began as a three-month internship at the New York City Ballet with fellow Kohawk Holly Hynes '78, turned to a full-time career for Matthew Hemesath '01. Matthew has created quite the impressive resume for himself as a costume designer with work on the set of Saturday Night Live, Sesame Street and the Today Show, to name just a few.

Sara interned with the Neurology Unit of Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa as a Coe student. She works in genetic counseling, medical affairs and precision oncology at Guardant Health.

Sarah turned her internship at Collins Aerospace into a full-time job offer! After working for the University Relations team, she accepted a full-time position handling talent acquisition for all 30 Collins Aerospace locations. Sarah is still employed at Collins Aerospace, now as the associate director, strategy and customer & account management HR business partner.

In addition to a traditional interview, Sophie had to analyze a mock case and present a PowerPoint to the director before being hired as a paid intern. Her daily experience with the Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission helped her obtain a position with the city of Omaha Human Rights and Relations Department immediately after graduation. She now works for the State of Nebraska as an equal opportunity investigator.
